Changes and babies and stuff

I have a couple of major announcements to make!

1. Roxanne had the baby this morning. Her name is Claire Gabrielle and everyone is doing well!

2. In addition to being associate pastor at Holy Family, I have been named as priest chaplain at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. This is because the former chaplain, Fr. Keith Moreau, died a couple of weeks ago. Practically speaking, this’ll mean an extra Mass at the hospital on Sundays, going to the units on weekdays, and having the emergency pager. Should be interesting!

Yellowknife

On Sept. 14, I joined a group of 45 people from the diocese of Saskatoon (mostly; there were a couple of other bishops & priests with us) on chartered flight to Yellowknife. We toured for a bit and attended the episcopal ordination of Most Rev. Murray Chatlain, co-adjutor bishop of the diocese of MacKenzie-Fort Smith. It was a very good day – and very long. We arrived at the Saskatoon airport at 6am and arrived back in the rectory the following 3am. Then, on Saturday I went to Macklin/Denzil/St. Donatus to say a few Masses and spend a few days visiting. I still need to work out a trip to Luseland…

Joe Job’d…

Nuts. It looks like the darryldot.org domain has been Joe jobbed. Someone has used the domain name in spoofed spam emails, so I’m now getting thousands of bounce back messages cluttering my inbox.

Sigh.

Over 2000 in less than 5 hours, and counting.

As a result, I’ve been forced to restrict my email settings. Only my darryl darryldot.org account will reach me.
