New Millette Kidlet!

(… to borrow a word from Mikedor)

Marie Rose Millette was born to Roxanne and David tonight at 20:06 Saskatchewan Time (that’s 19:06 Alberta time)! She weighs 7 pounds and 6 ounces on Earth. Or 1 pound and 3.67 ounces if she was on the moon.

I’ll pass along further information as I receive it.

I guess this means I’m an uncle. Holy crap! :-)

Fletcheroni; added pages

First, I’d like to wish a big congratulations to Patrick and Corinne Fletcher on the birth of Brigitte Aurelia on Wednesday morning. They have a nice entry (with lots of photos) up at http://fletcheroni.com.

Second, I’ve moved the recordings and videos to their own pages to make them easier to find. Check out the “recording” and “video” pages on the right column. Enjoy!

Solemnity of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary – Vespers

Woah! Two updates in as many days! What’s going on?!

The music from the Vespers service last night is now up. I’m especially pleased with the intercessions (Misere Nobis by Bob Hurd, with some additional verses by Fr. David Tumback, led by Aaron Roth). I really wish I had a microphone at the back to capture the sound from the packed chapel, though. It was really impressive to hear all those people singing. And I should have used my microphone for the choir instead of the regular one, since it added a bit of noise to the signal. But overall, it’s not bad for a quick, live recording. Michael, Carlos, Nonso, and Aaron all did a great job of singing, and Archbishop Collins preached very well, as per usual.

Papers and Music and Baby, oh my!

Happy Lent, everyone! I hope things are going well for you. Lent tends to have a habit of finding us students — without our going out to find it — because that is when papers and most other term work is due. So I’m pretty busy now with papers. But life is also pretty exciting as David and Roxanne’s baby is due very soon. Check out their photo blog for some pictures.

Today we’ve been having special celebrations for the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary. I’ve recorded the Mass from today and it turned out not too bad, though the piano is slightly out of tune and something happened to the guitar levels for the last song.

Download the music in MP3 format here.

If you are interested in cheesy amateur movies, I also have an MPEG4 version of CSI Nipawin available here for download. Gotta love cheap web space!
